Description
“On the morning of June 20, 1830, the Lord Amherst, the first European ship to visit Shanghai, was anchored at the mouth of the Huangpu river. A single longboat rowed upstream and landed on the swampy western bank, where the Bund is today.
Two Europeans strode ashore.
One of them, the Reverend Karl was persuaded by William Jardine to interpret for their ship captains during coastal expeditions and subsequently open the trade of British goods in Shanghai. Thirteen years later, Jardine was the first company to buy a building lot on the Bund.”
Teams will follow the footsteps of Karl Gutzlaff… and will need to decrypt a message to be delivered to the DAOTAI (Shanghai highest Imperial Official) and subsequently open the trade with the West.
The fate of Shanghai being intertwined with contact with the West, teams will also have a rare chance to revisit Shanghai rich history from the “East meets West” perspective and unearth a few anecdotes.
Geared with a set of clues, this adventure (Treasure Hunt mode) will take you around town to collect clues to help you open the KLUEBOX. After gathering a few (or all), you can switch to an Escape Game mode and start deciphering your clues. But instead of escaping a room, you’ll need to open all doors of the KLUEBOX and finally be able to grab your treasure buried deep within. The first team to open the last door on their KLUEBOX wins!
No problem, our Field Agents will be your eyes on the ground. The work will be done by you, but they'll extend your team -by helping you search information around the place.
This is where our specialty lay -in the design of our clues, where you’ll need to take a little bit of each of the following to decipher them: use different mindsets (multicultural teammates’ strength), think outside of the box, pro-activity, strategy and abundant communication.
